History, not advice. Everything we publish is general information about the history of money and markets, provided for educational and informational purposes only. It is not financial, investment, tax, legal or accounting advice, and it is not a recommendation or an offer to buy, sell or hold any security, fund, commodity or other investment. We do not know your circumstances, goals or tolerance for risk, and nothing we publish takes them into account.

We are not licensed advisers. Frekvens AS is not authorised or registered as an investment adviser, broker or investment firm in any country. We do not give personal advice, including in comments, emails or messages. Before you make financial decisions, consider speaking with a licensed professional who can assess your situation.

Past performance. Past performance does not guarantee, and is not a reliable indicator of, future results. The value of investments can fall as well as rise, and you can lose all of the money you invest.

Hypothetical figures. Calculator results, charts and examples are hypothetical illustrations based on historical index or price data. They do not reflect any real account. Unless stated otherwise they exclude fees, taxes, trading costs and currency effects, and they are shown before inflation unless labelled "after inflation". Indices cannot be invested in directly.

Data and accuracy. We name our sources and check our numbers before publishing, but historical data can contain errors, revisions and gaps. We provide our content "as is", without warranties, and may correct it at any time. If you spot an error, please tell us at hello@investinghistorian.com.

Advertising. Links marked "Ad" are affiliate links: if you sign up through them, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. We never accept payment from issuers of securities to feature them.

AI narration. Our videos are narrated with an AI-generated voice. Research, scripts and fact-checking are done and approved by our editorial team.

Liability. To the extent permitted by law, Frekvens AS is not liable for any loss arising from your use of, or reliance on, our content or tools. Nothing in this disclaimer limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or your mandatory rights as a consumer.

• Who we are. This site is run by Frekvens AS, Norway (legal@investinghistorian.com).
• No advice. All content is general information about financial history for educational and informational purposes. It is not financial, investment, tax or legal advice, not a recommendation, and does not consider your circumstances.
• Accuracy and availability. We work to keep data accurate and name our sources, but provide the site and tools "as is" and "as available", without warranties of accuracy, completeness or fitness for a purpose.
• Hypothetical results. Calculator outputs are hypothetical illustrations, as described in the disclaimer above.
• Limitation of liability. To the extent permitted by law, Frekvens AS is not liable for any loss arising from use of or reliance on the site, the calculators or our content, including investment losses and indirect loss. Nothing in these terms limits liability for intent or gross negligence, for death or personal injury, or any liability or consumer right that cannot be limited under applicable law.
• Acceptable use. Please do not scrape or bulk-download pages, and do not resell outputs as advice.
• Sharing. Content, charts and code belong to Frekvens AS. You are welcome to share links and charts with credit and a link back. The underlying data belongs to its source.
• Changes. We may update these terms; the date above shows the latest version.
• Law and venue. Norwegian law applies and disputes go to Oslo tingrett. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of your country of residence.

No cookies, no tracking. This site sets no cookies, uses no analytics or advertising tools, and stores nothing on your device. The calculators run entirely in your browser; your inputs are not sent to us. A result link you copy contains only the calculator inputs, in the address.

What our hosting provider sees. Like every website, ours is delivered by a website hosting and content-delivery provider (EU/US). To deliver pages and protect the site against abuse it processes technical data such as your IP address and browser type, for a short time. We do not use this data to identify you. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in running a secure website. Where a provider processes data outside the EEA, we rely on an EU adequacy decision or the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

Email. If you write to us, we use your message and address only to reply, and delete them when they are no longer needed.

Your rights. You can ask for access to, correction of or deletion of your personal data, and object to processing. You can complain to the Norwegian Data Protection Authority (Datatilsynet) or the authority where you live.
